I was all for having another punt on Ayew on loan, though couldn't quite understand why because he was difficult to fit in last time round, I was shocked when we signed him permanent! The bloke had a serious injury and wasn't road tested, same with Bony .
The numbers these guys cost with the gamble of unproven fitness was reckless to say the least. Never mind the other massive fails those 2 alone will/have pretty much bankrupt the club .
It was far more prudent to take relegation than to take that kind of risk with high money long contract.
And what of Jenkins always talking about not being able to sign players because they wouldn't sign relegation clauses , many have forgotten about this lie ! |  | | |
