The problem is, it needs real investment and BBC can't provide it.
Women's football needs to dramatically change. Move to pay in summer - could well then pick up footy fans desperate for their fix. Big money needs investing to make it full professional; someone like Sky could drive the game forward. | | | |

More seriously, it’s no surprise people watch it as it’s being promoted hard, and well done BBC for doing so. I think it’s more than possible to be critical though without being seen as insecure. After all, half of our own team are battered on here every week. Sh*tness transcends gender!
It is what it is. People don’t have an affinity for the teams, which is a bit part of why it’s dismissed. I’m sure if people started going to games it wouldn’t taken long before the quality became a non-issue and the support would develop. There’s no reason why not.
