Scunthorpe v Plymouth incident 10:12 - May 6 with 2038 viewsMrSwerve

Anyone see this? Keeper goes to put the ball out for some sort of injury, opposition player intercepts the ball and scores a goal. Bit more blatant than the Leeds game!

It’s at the 1 min mark below:

The quicker these idiots realise they haven't got the gumption or intelligence to do anything other than kick a ball the better.

OK I've changed it.

Ref should have blown up as keeper clearly injured. Slow off the mark but after what happened at Leeds so was Scunthorpe temporary manager.

Only good things are that Scunthorpe went down and that the goal wasn’t the difference in Plymouth getting relegated.

This is far more contentious than the LU v AV game in my opinion, keeper has obviously asked the ref for assistance and "probably' got a nod to put it out, Scunny player knew exactly what he was doing and he "played to the whistle".
FA & Referees now need to review this grey area and nail something to the mast, or this is going to keep happening.

It was a terrible throw from the keeper. He should have called for the ref.
Ref holds some of the blame here.

Scunthorpe player 100% to blame. Knew what was happening. Totally unprofessional.

Am I the only one thinking it was a good finish though?

Sportsmanship is part of the game. Premiership players conning refs, fans and punters by diving, feigning injuries etc so it's not surprising to see this in league 1

Players should play to the whistle. Ed of.

Bielsa should be fined and banned for letting Villa score and the goalscorer here did the right thing.

‘……. like a moth to Itchy’s flame ……’
