Isn't there some sort of dismissals procedure that people have to go through in most companies? I guess that Baker must be some sort of a freelancer so his bosses don't have to go through any such process.
Just the typical kind of lynch mob, knee jerk reactions that often happen on Twitter and other media when enough people get offended by something, e.g. the immediate sacking of Allardyce after the Daily Telegraph doctored an interview with him. [Post edited 9 May 2019 14:38]

It's not up to you whether you think it's racist or not (I'm assuming that you are white here).
You do not have to be the brains of Britain to anticipate that people are going to make a correlation between the chimp and that of the baby of a mixed race person. Let's be honest, there's been loads of memes flying about mocking the race of the mother / grandmother etc.
