Ospreys v Scarlets Saturday 18th May 7:45 kick off Liberty stadium 17:37 - May 13 with 4551 viewsSwan02

Champions cup qualification decider at the Liberty stadium this Saturday.
Two close rivals do battle for the qualification place.

Should be a feisty affair:)

The champions cup draw is the end of June and their in with some pretty wealthy clubs:)
At least they made it which can’t be said of Llanelli, Cardiff and Newport.

Was you there then?

No, the 280 mile round trip was too much for me. Just stating an opinion that 8,500 was a poor crowd for such a big, winner takes all, local derby game. Do you think it was a decent crowd in the circumstances ?

Poll: England, General Election: How are you going to vote ?

A lot of spectators commented that it did look like a bigger crowd.than 8.500 .The atmosphere was very good.with children's enthusiasm included.I have to point out that they had 6 days to sell the tickets. And when has there.ever been a Saturday night.kickoff for 7.45pm for either ospreys or the swans?some people would not fancy that kick off time.

Remember as it was a play off the gate receipts would be shared between the two regions.
It would be very much in the interest of the Ospreys to publish a smaller gate than was actually there as it would result in less money being handed over to their closest rivals.
They also published that over 40% of the crowd were under 16’s so only taking £5 per spectator when those that were there would know that due to the late Saturday night kick off there were less than 10% in fact!

For the record I estimate between 10,500 and 11,500 in the ground.

A couple of young talented players signed their first professional contracts this week but everyone is waiting nervously for news on Alun Wyn Jones.
Fingers crossed

Lloyd Ashley and Ifan Phillips added to the list of re-signings but still nothing on AWJ.
