The core that got us up remains, excepting Gunnarsson.

Last time we came down we had Ole with his scattergun recruitment approach that left us with squillions of sh1t Norwegians, Macheda et al.

We're not paying PL wages. That's why we recruited who we did last season; even is Sala had lived, he'd only have been on around 40k and would have been highest paid.

Had we been relegated straight away after our first PL season I would think we would have been financially better off than you guys will be next season...but we didn't get relegated after that first season and unlike you lot who have been twice promoted only to call straight back down we went on to enjoy 7 seasons ....Well j enjoyed 4 seasons the final 3 were pretty dire. What you Bluey and Valleyboy miss with your usual scum myopia is we survived that first season with effectively the squad that got us promoted yes we added Danby Graham and the loan signing of Siggurdon was significant but we stayed up and not by the skin of our teeth but by playing some great football provided by a class team an d good manager which had the pundits purring....whilst Cardiff promoted twice and huffed and puffed themselves to instant relegation.
Yes eventually the pit that the PL is caught up with us..causing us to abandon our previous principles and ideals in pursuit of retaining PL status.

Many if us saw HJ for who he is but hey ho what could we do

Yes the Trust was discredited over the Huw Cooze affair but looking back in sure his so called "friends" threw him under the bus by using allies on here to stir up the mess allowing them to plot the sale of their shares behind the back of the Trust.

Let's not forget though twice the "mighty" Cardiff gave keen promoted only to come straight back down whilst little ok Swansea survived 7 seasons....and the first season lit up the PL.....according to the pundits...with virtually the same squad that came up from league 1....let all alone the Championship

Poll: Will CCFC win a game this season?
