Thought we might need one of these now that silly season has started.

Matt Grimes is open to joining Everton from "Football Insider" - how reliable are they? They say in another article that Brighton are looking at Chris Wilder after being frustrated in their attempt to talk to Potter.

Talk of us looking to bring in Reece James on loan from Chelsea.
He really impressed me at the Liberty last season (Wigan) - one of the few who looked the part TBH and from memory took a very good corner & free kick.
Although he was eventually frustrated by Dan James & Celina

'Mainly used at right-back, James is also capable of featuring as a defensive midfielder if required. '

Could fill Grimes or Roberts' place.

Why not ? at Wigan last season.

Their best player and now proven too good for the division according to many.

Ryan Woods apparently available for £3-4mil, or even on loan...
I think this is one worth chasing. Especially as the yanks seemed keen at a lower price last year. Could be a goer?

I think he'd be a quality player for us, especially with how we played last year.

Not going to happen though unfortunately, out of our price range, always was aswell.

Seems like they're up for loaning him out as well though

Budget Matt Grimes.

Seems redundant with Grimes back there. Need someone with more defensive chops to partner with Matty.

Nathan McGinley linked from Forest Green. 22 year old Left back who signed for them after a successful loan from Boro.

Had a quick glance on their forum. Apparently makes a lot of mistakes, but has alot of potential. General feeling is they are surprised Championship clubs are looking at him at the moment. Would make sense as we are short on the ground at left back now Ollson has gone.

Only have Declan John now and he is no defender, should push him forward into more of a winger role.

Left back is a massive priority for me.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I don't mind Declan John, but he's way more suited to a 3-5-2, and I'm sure I read he prefers 4-2-3-1 or 433 which I can't see John being suited to.

He seems quite good, but not very quick and makes a good few dodgy passes.

As defenders both John and Roberts are lacking - Connor is the better of the two with not much between them going forward.
The big problem for both players is they aren't quick enough to be wingers.

Wide midfield in a 3-5-3?

3-5-3 would mean playing with no keeper, which would probably still be an improvement on nordvelt.

Georghi owns the club his son plays for -
But why would a player of his repute come to us?

Because we play the right way and it would be a way into the English leagues

More likely to to be back in a high paying Italian or Turkish clubs before one in Spain IMO.
Not all players want to play in England.

Not often I disagree with you mate but Declan John is shite.

Decent game towards end of season besides that has looked like a 3rd choice full back from Rangers.

He’s a wing back, not a full back.

The likes of Connor Roberts can do either job. John looks pretty good goimg forward, but can’t defend. Ok with 3 centre backs. I wouldn’t feel confident with him in a back 4
