Appleton shot down in price; there's a name who was linked previously.

You should look at Kasper Hjulmand former head coach of FC Nordsjælland from Denmark. Excellent at developing young players and playing The Swansea Way. He would take Morten Wieghorst with him as an assistent. As you know he was assistant under Laudrup.

Whoever he is if he's good he'll last a season and move on to a club in a higher division or one with more money. That'll make him Judas number IV or something apparently.

If he's a bit sh1t we can keep him as long as we like.

No. No. Thrice no.

This would actually make sense though. Wasnt Birch at Portsmouth when Appleton took over there? In fact, did he hire him?

The (lack of) creativity already is scaring me.

Kasper didn’t hack it at Mainz, though Tuchel would have been a difficult act to follow. Brendan also had to be rescued from a bad spell at Reading I suppose.

Well going by the Happy Clappers , Yankee Fooly Danglers on here, it was reported Potter was offered money making him the highest paid Manager in the Championship, well with that money available we should be looking at quite a decent appointment then.

Rangel with Routs would excite me but not Leon - he really didn't seem suited when he had the chance.

Reading elsewhere I spotted a mention of Jens Gustafsson of Norköpping.
Hadn't really been thinking outside the UK but he would tick a lot of boxes.
From what I've seen of his Norköpping side they play the ball on the ground, keep possession well, pass well, attack from wide and have some grit (OK a bit dirty).
Doing reasonable well on no money.

I've been away for 2 days with no internet access. I thought this thread would be mental, but seems like not a lot is going on....

I like this post though...
I'd definitely be up for a double act with a pair who have played together here while we were on the way up and playing some good shit.

Otherwise, I think abroad is the way to go. Cheap, unknown, yet there's a lot out there playing the stuff we want.
