So sad - he’s been through a lot. Lucky to have seen him a few times at GPs (F1 is my fave sport tbh, more so than football). I’m surprised he’s lived this long to be fair.

For anyone who hasn’t seen the film ‘Rush’, it’s worth a watch.

Suffering a horrendous crash with terrible burns then decides to race again 6 weeks later with bandages still on and half his face melted off!! Different breed.

Used to love F1 but with the introduction of that scaffolding they call a 'halo', the change in engine to a hybrid and the fact you can't watch the races anymore it's now filed under 'Sport that used to be fun to watch'
