I've said it before and I'll say it again - there's no way we should sell Dan James until after Wales' double-header in June. Yes, there's a risk that he'll suffer an injury - but that's more than offset by the possibility of him turning in an outstanding performance away to the World Cup runner's up.
Leeds were the only serious suitors for James in the winter transfer window - and the big increase in his value since is partly down to his league form for us, but his performances against better opposition, in Man City and Slovakia, will have made a big difference to how he's perceived. It's one thing to score a spectacular length of the pitch goal against Brentford, and another to outstrip the likes of Kyle Walker for pace.
If James shines again against a classy Croatia outfit watch his value shoot up further, and interest come in from other quarters. James will obviously leave this sumemr - but we've got a lot more say in how and when than the media are making out. |  | | |
