I agree. Seems like they are already contributing a lot and helping birch out. Not the simple 'jobs for the boys' lark that some have insinuated. Here's BBC version for WOL haters https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48401011

You're right, it's not 'jobs for the boys'. Rather it is 'jobs to appease the intellectually challenged supporters who'll buy that club favourites Leon and Curt are involved behind the scenes to prevent any more unrest and protests'. [Post edited 25 May 2019 17:38]

I'm happy we are being run within our means. I'm not happy with the poor recent season which wasted our best opportunity of going straight back up. I'm not happy that a bunch of liars are still in charge of the club. I'm not happy The Trust tried to agree to a deal with them having already been screwed over not long before.

Yes that's right, best chance to go up. Yes we lost a number of players. This Summer we'll lose Fer, Olsson, James and likely a few others as well. It will be harder next season. Next Summer we'll lose a few more. There will be no money to replace them as the club is aiming to run within its means. That is why this season was our best chance, and each subsequent season will only get harder. Of course there is a chance we'll produce someone we can sell for tens of millions to fund a significant squad improvement, however it is unlikely.

He’s probably right though. Showed we could really do knockout and threw away at least 10 to 12 points.

How many were determined to leave? How many wouldn't have played? How many could have played the way we have? How much did we save by shoving them out the door? How many, of those who didn't insist con transfers, would you really like at the club.

How much better off would we be if we hadn’t re-signed Bony? How on earth did we end up paying £ 16m for Clucas? How the hell did we sign up Andre Ayew on mega bucks until 2021? How are we in this position? Answers on a postcard please to .......

I’m not complaining about it? I’m just saying anyone who thinks promotion was the target this year are off their heads. Everyone at the club confirmed it. How we were so close to play offs is testament to those in charge, that’s why a Premier League club have come in and poached those responsible. They probably have more sense than some fella who claimed Fabianski was garbage, the keeper that cleaned up on end of season award nights, and doing the same for West Ham.

You're lying when you say I claimed Fabianski was garbage. I said he was on an awful run of form and should be dropped. That was absolutely true. He went through a spell where he was costing us points every other game. The Manchester City debacle near the end when Jesus scored is the first one that comes to mind.

This from the supporter of the club who recently appointed a manager based purely on emotion.... And since getting the full time gig hardly won a game......couldn't even beat relegated Cardiff. Yes we have absent owners....we have "no money to spend" but I am glad to see that Birch is ready to listen to two of the greats who understand the dna of this club and let them help in the selection of its next manager and the building of the structure which gives us players. The sellouts are the ones who put us here not the trust......the trust still has a battle ahead of them which I hope will prove their worth. In the meanwhile I am encouraged that people who know and understand SCFC are involved in the football side......maybe you and Jasper would have preferred Landon Dononavon being appointed as football advisor to the board

It does, but Leon seems to be advising on which managers to interview, which players to go for... Is there anyone else there that actually knows what they’re doing? I though Birch was supposed to be a football man? Maybe it’s just the way these things are reported, but it seems like it’s down to Leon to make things work.
