Interest from Bournemouth according to Nixon.

<<BOURNEMOUTH. Looking into a move for Conor Roberts at SWANSEA. Down to what would pay and whether lad fancies competing for a game.>>

Don’t go Connor!

Hoping it wouldn’t even be entertained unless we are seriously struggling to get rid of the Ayew’s, Baston and the rest.

Unfortunately though, without rose tinted specs on, if given the opportunity the lad will want to move on. We are in a perilous position in my opinion because those left in the u23s aren’t really up to it if the league table is anything to go by, and I just can’t see money being released for reinforcements despite what Birch has or hasn’t said.

Next year, just like last, is all about consolidation.

Going to be hard to keep anyone if another club on par or higher come in, they will offer more money. The club has a very rocky foundation and if I were the boys agent/dad then I would be looking at the options if a club came in.

Premier League team or Championship team.

Let me think about that one, said no footballer ever.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Eh? When did he chose a championship club over a premier league club?

Please don't include loans in that now mind, as it is completely different. Players often go out to championship teams on loan to get experience.

Aye, and he'll probably want assurances as well, which the pesky american's won't give him.

Yeah he did, turned down Wolves in Jan to stay at Villa in the champ.

Nice place Bournemouth. Good atmosphere and lots of people of an age. At the end of the day it's Roberts choice. I won't wish him well, but neither do I wish him harm. It'll be a move for money. I look forward to supporting his replacement if he leaves.

Bournemouth paid Bristol City £13 million for LB Lloyd Kelly, last week. I can't see them looking for another player of the same ilk.

To be fair Tammy is a Chelsea player and is (rightly or wrongly) probably holding out in the hope he can play for them.

You know you're onto a loser when you agree with Daps

He is contracted to Chelsea, who are Premier League.

Listen, there are no doubt the odd one or two players over the years who have picked a championship team over a premier league team, but they will be few and far between.

If any premier league team want one of our players, they will be gone. Same as our loyal, morally perfect ex manager.

He may well get his chance next season too, what with Chelsea being under a transfer um bongo.

Matt Ritchie left Bournemouth who did not want him to go, he joined Newcastle who were in the championship.

The majority would obviously go to the prem but it has been proven that not everyone would.......as Darran pointed out, wages would be a factor.

Any team offering a bigger wage and our boys would be gone. If there was a future or clear direction within the club, some might consider staying.....BUT!

He turned down a permanent Premier League switch, which Chelsea allowed, to stay in Championship.

I do agree with you on the whole though.

Think Jordi Govea is being planned to be pushed into the first team during the summer plus Declan John, left back should be sorted.

I would say that the club and Naughten's agent are looking to get out of the club.

The longer we dont appoint a manager the longer we lose time on free agents/bosmans. One thing the club seems to do every year is doddle on something.
