Cricket world cup 10:58 - May 26 with 35583 viewssainthelens

For the cricket followers on here, who's your fancy?
I've had good wedge on India. England will find a way to fck it up, and as long as the Indians arnt too knackered after the IPL I think they'll be to strong.

Llorente is bowling well

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

We’ve bowled and fielded well today but by God we are useless at direct hits on the stumps. Not one today iirc even when it didn’t matter. Aussies (spit) always good at that.

Great last over by Jeffrey.

Could well be the difference.

Good all round performance from England. Great captaincy from Morgan changing ends for Plunkett and Woods. Brilliant death bowling from Archer.

WTF ... Were New Zealand doing ducking under all those short balls?? It's a one day World Cup Final. Not fvcking Test Cricket!!

But ...it's only half way.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Half ball. You've got to be certain when giving those IMO.

I'm not a fan of only having one review. Given the speed then three would be fine.

Ooh big wicket there.

Football could learn a lot from this for VAR. No reason why offsides and similarly objective decisions couldn't be made in the same manner. Speed of decision making and inclusion into the spectacle are the big issues with VAR and cricket has them nailed.

In MLS, it worked as it was external to ref; officials determine there's conclusive evidence the decision was wrong, signal ref, ref looks at the evidence provided, virtually always corrected.

VAR seems to have been implemented to allow ref to be wishy washy over decisions by referring to VAR to confirm / deny rather than other way round.

It was lovely. Missed the last six overs of the NZ innings and the first nine of England’s so it could have been worse.

I don’t think the England team will be thanking the Lords ground staff for preparing such a seamer friendly wicket.

They have a clear advantage on the batting side, but this pitch has really levelled the playing field. What ever happened to home advantage?

Not exactly the spectacle you want from a final either. More one for the purists.
