Maybe it just seemed that way then. I haven’t studied the stats but I always felt with those two that we were in with a fighting chance when 12 or more per over were needed in the last few overs.

I’m not saying there was but there’ll be others who may think such things have happened. One it’s Pakistan and two they were abysmal against WI but miraculously turned it around. Some on here even mentioned it after the game on Saturday.
Just to reiterate, I’m not saying it has happened, far from it. But there’ll be some who will put a theory forward.

The favourites tag was/is sensible but I mostly agree. If there was any complacency that will have disappeared after today. Losing will probably do England’s chances for the tournament as a whole a bit of good. | |

It seems to be about pace so we need Archer firing, he's going to be a great prospect, it seems so far that it's about pace on the bowling front, which we have plenty of, however pitches are conditioned towards batting, therefore as long as England are sharp in the field, with level of talent batting I think they could chase down any total, ironically they didn't yesterday, but as said that was due to the poor fielding display. | |
