Cricket world cup 10:58 - May 26 with 35572 viewssainthelens

For the cricket followers on here, who's your fancy?
I've had good wedge on India. England will find a way to fck it up, and as long as the Indians arnt too knackered after the IPL I think they'll be to strong.

Arrogance is fine when it can be supported by results. At the moment, we can’t cope with pressure and we buckle all too easily.

This game was lost by the bowlers in my mind because they (Wood and Archer especially) were bowling length too much which were easy for too class batsmen to swipe away. Australia are doing far more with the ball.

As I’m typing this, the comms are saying exactly the same!!

That's it for Vince. They ditched his mate Carberry far earlier than this flop.

Not really. 23 overs left. Keep runs coming, don't allow run rate to get too high. Can't afford wickets, keep them in hand and launch off the last 10 overs.

And that's why you don't start slogging with 23 overs left.

Woakes isn't a bad batsman. If he can stay in, he and Stokes get up or around there, there's a chance.

What's the required run rate?

Stokes can score quickly. Moeen did the other day. Archer can contribute.

It's not impossible. Two or three very good overs for England can help immensely.

Well that was depressing. We’ll still make the semis though. We won’t lose three on the bounce and definitely not four.

You reckon?

Confidence low.

Problems chasing runs so batting first might give us a chance but the conditions may play its part.

I’m not confident but hope you’re right.

Unlikely to need to win both but wouldn’t rule it out anyway. This is an excellent one day side which has picked an admittedly terrible time to hit a dodgy patch.

India In Birmingham on Sunday is likely to feel like an away game as well. These losses have added spice to the tournament anyway. This time last week it looked like we were going to have a couple of weeks of dead rubbers with the top four already decided. Exciting.

Crikey, the press reports make for miserable reading.

Avoidance of losing three on the bounce means beating India - this is now a huge game.
