Taking his time, has he changed his mind!!!

I suppose no chance best opportunity he's going to get, strikes me as a potential Trollope from the Scum, I hope I'm wrong!

What does that mean?

If it means that Cooper will flop like Trollope did at Cardiff then you've failed to take into account the context of the both situations.

At Cardiff we just came out of possibly the most tragic style of football I have ever witnessed under Slade (and believe me that takes some doing)

Trollope came into a situation where he was on a hiding to nothing due to a whole host of reasons.

- the club was still in a hangover from relegation
- the fans still hated Tan for the red debacle
- the fans weren't primed for patient football
- we didn't have the players for a progressive style of football
- Trollope was away most of the summer with Wales

Your case is completely different. A lot of the ground work was laid by Potter last season.
Cooper by all accounts will be a suitable manager to build on that.
As long as you don't lose too many players you showed last year that you could compete playing possession based football.

He couldn't rock up at Cardiff this season and take over from Warnock but I was in your position I'd be fairly optimistic.

good to see that Mike Marsh has also been confirmed.

Cooper has said: “This opportunity is something I’ve been working towards my whole life, certainly since I started coaching 22 years ago, and I’m extremely grateful to Swansea for giving me this chance.

“I have already done a huge amount of homework on the playing style, the squad and plans for pre- season. Now I just can’t wait to get started.’’

“I know what style and quality of football the fans demand. It matches my vision perfectly.’’

All?

I'd just like to give him a chance atm, just like any player or manager who takes the field for us.
Face for radio though to be fair...

You could be right, and there is no way I can know for sure if he will be a success or not, just the same as there is no way you can know for sure that he will fail.

I saw that you were right about clement in your old posts.

it looked like you had your 'he will die on his arse ! Completely and utterly out of his depth I won’t say I told you so in December' post all ready and waiting to get it in as soon as cooper was announced as manger.

if he fails in a few months, then you can say to check out this post, well done..

Fckn bute, I've got doubts but at least wish him well.
If we didn't know better you'd think you want him to fail.

Really is amazing how many people are unwilling to give someone a chance.

It's also amazing how many people are so happy to tell he world they are right. I personally thought cooper was another good appointment but there does seem to be a few who want to reinstate their superiority on his matter.

Let's not forget at some point he will be the bastard child just like Martinez, Laudrup, Potter, Rodgers et al.

Eye on the ball jacks.

OK I've changed it.
