Granada, Cordoba and Seville all worth a visit.
Had a bizarre experience in Cordoba's Hotel Eurostars Palace, where I was sharing a twin room with my brother:
Bare-chested (not a great sight), and having a shave, I was interrupted by a knock at the door. When I answered it a smartly-dressed, attractive woman in her 30s swept past me and proceeded to address me and my brother in Spanish. We spoke no Spanish, and she understood no English.
I tried to make her understand that she'd made a mistake, and that this was our room. I tried to usher her out, but she became increasingly indignant, and refused to budge, and kept pointing at her phone and then at me and my brother. In the end she made a phone call, her face fell, and she backed out of the room with an apologetic grin on her face.
WTF was all that about? I thought.
Totally unworldly, me - after a few minutes thought, it was clear enough that she was a high-class call girl or escort - she'd got most of the room number right, but had picked the wrong floor  |  | | |

Try and go to the Torcal de Antequera....incredible rock formations on top of a mountain...almost out of world experience..
Also go to El Chorro if you haven't already...the railway there is where they filmed Von Ryan's Express [Post edited 19 Jun 2019 11:23]
