Well...good luck to him. He stayed a lot fkn longer than most of our players and managers. Why is ok for players and managers to move on to higher wages etc and people on here say that’s not a problem. He’s gone...we had seven Premiere years and now it starts again. If you’d told me during the Hull game at the Vetch what our journey would be I’d have bitten your fkn arm off for it. That was then this is now...Birch has got a fkn lot to live up to. |
If the selling shareholders had worked with the Trust to undertake due diligence on new owners and he had ridden off into the sunset when the shares were sold then I probably would have said good luck to him.
However that isn't what happened. We are stuck with owners who show little interest in the club and none in the fans or area; a potential court case over the sale of the shares; a financial black hole because of our farcical recruitment/ contracts and the people responsible for this through the share sale and their subsequent actions are millionaires.
If we sell our top scorer, the usual thing to do would be to use the money to strengthen the squad. The last time we did that the money was wasted by the recruitment team.
This time the concern is that if Mcburnie goes our recruitment team won’t see much of the money. They will have to be creative!! Time will tell on that one but the fact that there is that concern tells it’s own story.

Those players are haemorrhaging the clubs finances and obviously the parachute payments from the premier league are supposed to help the club cover the loss in income to help pay them. Dan's transfer has helped the black hole and if mcburnie was to be sold, would it be possible to run the ship with those players in the Swansea team for the year. I understand that the books are much healthier if those three players are moved on but would we be stronger with those three players being paid from a Mcburnie transfer? |  |

£12m is a shocking price for a young proven goalscorer at this level.
Just please get in your head NO money will be reinvested into the squad due to the "black hole", we sell our best players in bulk every window, we will get relegated it's as simple as that.

He’s not really built like a top striker, he’s not the quickest, not the strongest either. He scores goals though and that my friends is worth its weight in gold. There are players with far better physical attributes but they don’t know where the back of the net is.
