As much as Swans fans would like it to be different his League placings with the club’s he’s been at since he was sacked by us have been decent and like the stories in the press this week his sacking at Brum wasn’t really for football reasons. |

I think there's a tendancy to be too critical of his record as a manager. He did well at Leeds, didn't doo awfully bad at Boro and did well at Birmingham. Whatever you think of his playing style, on a purely results basis did an OK job here. He was credited (rightly or wrongly) with keeping us up and then got us to our best finishing position, you can see why people on the outside reckon he was harshly dealt with. It's only Swans supporters that realize he was also, with a little help from Jenkins, the architect of our demise.
All I would say, his record in signing players is quite horrendous, can you imagine allowing him to spend the Qatari billions? | | | |

His time here has been repeated elsewhere. He initially does ok, but then falls off and ultimately is a bit of a disappointment and does little to plan for the future, just grind out short term results (which is fine).
He's boringly ok, no more no less. B'ham fans weren't all enamoured by a long way; that they all lived him is a bit of a myth similar to his time here. And their owner's comments about how GM was a bit billy big bollocks and wouldn't work under their agent structure would ring true to us.

A lot do, for sure. The knack is finding the ones that don't fade off as regularly or leave you in the shit with their rubbish signings (like Rafa, for example).
Pundits slagging off Monk is one thing, but the real damning indictment of Garry's impact on a club is the statement from Birmingham's owner. He's a legend for his playing time here, but he's not starting his managerial career too well imo. | | | |
