One of our greatest players.

Couldn't disagree with that. It's a pity he ever became our manager. Shame he became greedy. Shame he became a prick. Shame he didn't just drop the mic after play off final. He could have been our hero forever.

Super Garry Monk, Garry Monk!

Greatest servant?

Not fit to lace Wyndham Evans’ boots. Or Roger Freestone, or many, many others.

Lived off Tate in the CB position.
Once Tate reached his limit Monk suddenly has a series of back complaints.
Turned players against managers and staff, conned his way in to management and set about destroying a system he never understood for a pale imitation of Stoke.

True. I did enjoy his first game as Swans manager though.

I’m a big fan of Monk.

Loved his attitude as a player firstly when he was a big influence in getting our club moving forward three divisions incredibly and enabling him to play once again in the Premier League. And that after recovering from a serious injury which I seem to recall kept him out for most of one season. A superb Club Captain and right up there with Cornforth and Martinez.

And as a Manager has done well although his short spell at Boro may be seen an exception by many albeit they were just three points off a play off place when he was sacked. The recent revelations are not a surprise. This is modern football. It says more about the role that the rodents (agents) are playing in today’s game. They really are a cancer aren’t they.

Shame he never went to the worzels.
Got a convenient injury.

Schemed his way into Laudrups job
With a pretend row over coco pops.

Didn't like Souza upset Steve Gibson a quality chairman.

Left under a cloud at Birmingham.
Not sure what happened at Leeds.

Got on well with Huw though 2 of a kind.

I wondered how long before St Michael would be brought into it.

It's like a Swansea forums version of Godwin's law.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Yes enjoyed it

If you’re referring to his comments regarding Sousa: he’s honest enough to admit it and not being promoted that season was a true blessing just as it was when we lost to Barnsley under Jackett.

Don't confuse playing the most attractive football with being the best manager, ever.

One and only major silverware winning manager. Get your head out of your @rse ffs.
Monk was a limited centre half who made a great block at Wembley, though moot as we scored another anyway. Hope he goes to jail.

Another one brainwashed by Huw. Laudrup wouldn’t have got that squad relegated as long as he had a hole in his @rse.
Monk had players back from injury and won how many games? Never mind reality Dicky, you carry on hating.

He was a very good centre half for us. WTF have you been smoking Bynny?

ML was great, I get it, but he was done with us, like a kid with a train set. Some of you people really need to wipe the spunk out of your eyes.

Completely disingenuous to play down that block. If it went to 3-3 then the pattern of the game and history in general would've been different and none of us know what would've happened. But we wouldn't have had the second penalty and they would've had all the momentum on their side
