Undisclosed payment to agent and club.
Spurs, apparently, don't charge a great deal for their loan players (less than Bayern Mucich £7.5 million for Sanches and Chelsea c£6million with stiff compensation if he wasn't playing) but Spurs do threaten to get lawyered up if their man doesn't play.
Sanches was being paid £60,000 a week by Bayern so we would have also been paying roughly the same.

Well you'd think that defenders don't fetch as high a loan fee as attacking midfielders let alone Harry Wilson who'd been a revelation for Hull the season and Mount who'd impressed in the Ere Divisie the season previously. CCV had been at Ipswich previously but hadn't made much of an impression. | |

There’s a massive difference between paying a £2m transfer fee for a player that didn’t work out yet hopefully), but was rated highly by Potter and was expected to feature heavily and increase his value..
And paying half that amount just in wages for a player who was there to plug a gap, we’d never be able to sell and was signed at the end of the window when Rodon had got off to a flyer.

Yeah agreed on Celina, that’s why he cost us £4m.
Harry Wilson cost Derby £1m up front and his wages on top, which I imagine were sizeable. You’re probably looking at even more for Mason Mount unless like you said, he had mate rates from Chelsea. As far as I know, Cooper wouldn’t have connections at clubs like that which could get us cut fees, happily be proved wrong.
As it stands there’s no way we would pay that sort of coin on a loan, and there’s not a chance CCV cost us anywhere near that. [Post edited 15 Jul 2019 20:32]

Asoro's on a sizeable wage as well. Can't remember what the figure was that his agent scared Spurs off with, but he'll be costing us a few more million over the length of his contract. Played 45 minutes for the u23s today with Borja. Strikeforce for the season sorted.
Getting CCV in allowed us to ship off Fernandez and Amat on deadline day so it was still a big net wage saving. We made the initial enquiries and probably had a rough deal in place weeks before Rodon made his debut and fans changed their minds on him. Good bit of business in the end, even if ideally Big Joe would have been back in the side for more games before the end of the season. | | | |
