Any tips for stopping the buggers ruining the fruit on my apple and pear trees?

Hit the branches with something while waving your hands in the air and shouting and screaming. This will detract the wasps attention from the fruit to you, thus preserving the fruit crop.

Don't worry about being too shy waving your hands in the air and shouting and screaming, once you start shaking the branches the rest will come naturally.

Short term pain long term gain.

Make some simple wasp traps and either or both, hang them in the tree or place at the base.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Not sure Dicky; I'm going to try the traps you see at theme parks.

Buy a net of lemons, slice them in half, and hang them from the branches

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Thanks for that. I’ve just knocked one up for my own patch as I’ve got wasps nesting in one of the bird boxes.
