These other countries do suffer from warped rails and I have seen this for myself.
There are methods in place to reduce track warping such as painting rails white, including expansion gaps between sections of track, regular maintenance, etc.
Unfortunately it’s not possible to cover every mile of track and this is also the case in US. |  |

Same with snow.
Other countries deal with snow better because they get six feet of it every winter so it's worth investing in being prepared. A light dusting every couple of years is nothing in comparison. |  |

I'm on a canal barge holiday and we've had to alter our route due to the heat. It's affecting some of the bridges so they can't be raised, meaning we can't get past.
