He hasn’t gone anywhere, yet!

Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

I'm amazed it's taken so long to accept the offer to be honest... that we would have heard before now either way.

BLADES STILL WANT MCBURNIE

Swansea are still considering Sheffield United's bid for Ollie McBurnie with the Blades working to agree a deal for the player before the August 8 transfer deadline.

United have been busy adding to their attacking options already this summer, bringing in Callum Robinson and Lys Mousset, but yesterday put in a second bid for the Scotsman which could potentially rise to £20m.

If the club accepts and McBurnie rejects which I think he will I think he definitely doesn't want to leave, then who gets the final say?

Maybe the sale was all agreed in principle between the 2 clubs quite a while ago bar the actual fee and terms haggling which is why Borja was added to the squad before the Spain/Portugal trip. Just a thought.

No championship club would turn down the sort of money on offer for Mcburnie

What happens next is the question.

Cooper has stated we are close to bringing players in.

Surely there will be some money available.

What is birch waiting for?

£20mill.For a bang average championship forward.
Take the money,we have just missed two good players.

Cardiff have signed a good winger and a forward for a combined fee
Of £7.5_mill!

That would have left us with £12.5 mill in the bank

Is that you Ollie

Seriously though our new head of recruitment Andy Scott has an impressive CV hopefully will have a couple up his sleeve.

Norwich sold their best 2 players and brought a few bargains in my guess is that is what Scott was brought in for

Entertain me... Name your examples of this happening? We've an ambitious manager, whose stated we want to play in the PL, there's nothing wrong with that.

We've sold bigger/better players, and gone onto bigger/better things previously. £20 million for McBurnie is a huge amount of money, and we've yet to bring in these replacements that your professional football eye deemed 'Pound land.'

I can't believe people are knocking an ambitious comment made by the manager, it should be applauded!

Words are cheap.
I am still hopeful we will sign a couple of players.

When it comes down to it, it's not down to Birch or anyone else at the club. It's down to the player, and i've heard from some pretty good sources (and i bet i'm not the only one) that Oli is not interested in this move.

I read a report from a brizzle paper earlier saying that Cooper has persuaded Kasey Palmer to join on the basis that the sock is staying.
