It’s in recess every year for party conferences. Not prorogued. The reason it’s being prorogued now is because recess motions have to be voted on. Parliament has to agree to go into recess. It doesn’t have to agree to be prorogued. | |

Do I say it's purely to thwart Remoaners and force hand of EU? No, it's covering the bases should GE occur - the clear message is "we want to get on with Brexit, get on with running Britain, opposition don't want to, want to be mired in Brexit ad nauseum".

I'd suggest you're looking for black/white too much.
Would any PM under the situation say "Yeah, he're trying to fvck Remoaners"? Of course not. He's come out with the Queen's speech line which is plausible - after all, parliamentary session now lasted close to three years. He's also made it difficult - but despite people's claims not impossible - to remove no deal as the default. He's also set the stage for next General Election by wanting to set out non Brexit related issues. He's also calling out to those in the public who want Brexit dealt with, then get on with running Britain.
it's a bold approach. If a deal emerges, then great, everyone can rejoice apart from those not wanting Brexit at all. If no deal emerges, well not so great but at least can move on with domestic issues. If election forced, he's a headstart on other parties.
