Cooper is human, football is an emotional thing, he loves his life at the moment is proud and happy and is enjoying his job here, nothing wrong with that !
Of course one day it will come to an end, but sometimes it’s better to live in the moment smell the roses and speak from the heart not the head.

Unfortunately, your last paragraph is correct and I alluded to this in another thread earlier this week about whether or not we should keep Andre Ayew next season if we achieved promotion. My point was that, although we would definitely need to reinforce the squad, we shouldn't be handing out excessively big contracts like we did before but that Cooper would be the one we should be offering a very significant financial inducement to stay for at least one more season so that we have the same continuity that we had when we were promoted with Brendan. If he gets us up this season against all pre-season predictions, he will certainly deserve that and have earned every penny. |  | | |
