If there was a 'defector' in my electoral ward, I like think I'd remember that he/she risked their political future in defence of their principles and beliefs. Considering how sick we all are of our politicians and their seeming so spineless, surely such moral fortitude is to be applauded?
Obviously it's easier for me to see it this way as a Remain supporter, but I like to think I would feel the same way if a Labour/Lib Dem MP did the opposite. It would almost be worth it to see some on here twisting themselves in knots to say it's alright in that case... |  |
