If I were looking to wow visitors then scrub Hanson's and Slice which are both poorly positioned. Instead the ones (all previously mentioned) I'd choose between would be:
Grape and Olive (for views)
Beach House (food and views)
And that Spanish one on marina, name forgotten (never been in but walked past on Sunday and it smelt great) (views and smells). |  | | |

Yes, Bistrot Pierre is a chain restaurant, though it doesn’t really feel like one.
The location is a massive part of it. Can’t see it working half as well in a city centre. | | | |

I’m sure they are. Commercially, I’m sure the centre of Liverpool is a very lucrative spot.
From a customer point of view, the one in Mumbles wouldn’t be half as good if it was in the (or any) city centre. Just like Zinco lounge doesn’t compare with Croesus lounge. | | | |

It’s still open. Last I heard they were going to extend upwards to create a wedding venue. Pretty sure the restaurant is staying.
Edit - I’d dispute the bit about the views though. Grape and Olive on a clear day is sensational. Worms head hotel too [Post edited 13 Sep 2019 14:04]
