The Stockport County 4-4 match was the year before Tosh in March 1977, when the great Harry Griffiths was manager.

That season I recall going to Cambridge Utd for our last league game needing a win to get promoted but also relying on other results. We did win at Cambridge who won the League I think it was 3-2 but other results didn’t go for us I lost a new Adidas trainer that day but found it later when there was a fight behind the goals 😂😂😂

We'd been on a tremendous run with Harry and were 4th in the league going into our final home match against Watford, but we lost 4-1, and then had to rely on other teams ... Even though we won 3-2 at champions Cambridge we failed to gain promotion.
