Bloody hell !

Was there that night. 4-1 down and Dai Gwyther scored a hatrick for them.

Didn’t we win 4-3 the following Saturday ?

Seem to recall another incredible 4-4 home draw with Southport or Stockport around then when we were 0-4 down also at the Vetch ??

He didn't hit the post, he scored but the Ref ruled it out. Can't remember why.

The Stockport County 4-4 match was the year before Tosh in March 1977, when the great Harry Griffiths was manager.

I couldn't find any video of the match, but did find this ...

When George Best made his debut for Stockport against us on the 28th November 1975 ...

The start of the good days to be a Swans fan

That season I recall going to Cambridge Utd for our last league game needing a win to get promoted but also relying on other results. We did win at Cambridge who won the League I think it was 3-2 but other results didn’t go for us
I lost a new Adidas trainer that day but found it later when there was a fight behind the goals 😂😂😂

We'd been on a tremendous run with Harry and were 4th in the league going into our final home match against Watford, but we lost 4-1, and then had to rely on other teams ... Even though we won 3-2 at champions Cambridge we failed to gain promotion.

The best was yet to come ...
