This Letter to The Parent’s at a Primary School is a bit strong? 11:01 - Sep 27 with 7170 viewsjackharris

Does the Headteacher realise it is us leaving a trading union and not World War 3? There is being prepared and being prepared. I think this letter could have been worded a bit differently. I think she is being a tad over-cautious. I would not want her sacked as stated. The things she stated are worse case scenarios and perhaps she is very thorough. Too thorough for my liking.

Given the letter is a response to an official local government report of the rather likely situation they will find themselves in by Nov 1, shouldn't this be classes as Prudent rather than Disgraceful Scaremongering? Isn't this the point of the Govt's own readiness campaign it's spaffing £100m on?

Shocking stuff! The head teacher starting a sentence with "Due to".

What is wrong with it?

Isn't most of that covered in the yellow hammer report?

F*cking snowflakes and gammons getting all "emotional" again.

It's exactly what the Goverrnment has said itself will happen. Very sensible to warn parents of the specific consequences to the school.

Employers should be doing the same for all their staff where relevant and setting out their own contingencies to address any pertinent risks. I know for a fact that the two institutions that I inhabit now and again have been doing so for some time. Part of the duty of care.

It's absolutely superb.

Why doesn't she just trust everything will be OK instead of listening to Govt advice and preparing, like they told her to?

That was a leaked document of absolute worst case scenarios, the modern slavery, domestic abuse and public unrest, etc would be more likely to occur if Brexit keeps being sabotaged. Some of the letter has some fair points, but as I said they are in the worst case scenarios.

Oh here we go again.

Yellowhammer was Base Case. It was rebranded upon forced publication. It's a shame Gove won't admit when and why the title was changed just before publication, despite being asked 7 times in the Commons yesterday.

That twitter thread is shocking.

The headteacher has passed on information that has come from direct advice from the DfE. Schools have been kept update on possible outcomes and preventative measures for a little while now via thier dedicated webpage:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/eu-exit-no-deal-preparations-for-scho

You've got twitter users asking if Gavin Williamson is aware of the school and its rogue headteacher. Its the views of the DfE she's shared!

Now the poor woman has had headshots pulled from the school website and 'outed' on twitter.

Can't wait to see what happens when the preperations Kent schools have to take due to the possible impact at Dover come out.

No it was not.

You are wrong.

The government are currently telling every business, authority, group, individual that they have to be ‘prepared for brexit’ and have to make contingency plans and communicate those plans. This school is for pupils with special needs and is duty bound to mitigate any areas of specific issue, such as medical requirements.

The thread that you’ve linked shows a stream of ill informed, frequently misogynistic morons, trying to get someone sacked for doing their best to comply with what they are being told they have to do.

Grow up,

My sister holds a clinician 'specialist' title within SW Wales/West Glamorgan cancer services, she liaises/communicates with many health care professionals/medical teams at G.P practice, community care and hospital level.

There has yet so far, been no mention from her whatsoever regarding any future looming Brexit related crisis or logistical issues and I'm yet to see her show any expression of concern whether that be about medicine or water.

BTW she is of type (and many others also) to react in a calm, measured, professional and grown-up manner.
