Well today Stephen you got it wrong.
Playing with no wingers again. Both Ayew and Celina like to cut inside.
No pace out wide. Too narrow.
We all know that Celina can't tackle and is best suited to the No 10 role.
We all know that Ayew's best position is 10 or possibly 9
Celina had a below par game.
Byers had a stinker and could /should have been hooked at half time.
Why was Fulton subbed? He was the only man in the mid field who was tackling.
We made an average Reading team look like promotion candidates in the second half.
Everyone could see a late goal coming.

Pretty accurate summary, felt that our Mr Cooper, for once, looked lost on the touchline. Everyone around me, including myself, were shouting at the players to get some decent tackles in, we stood off as they played around and through us. Some managers would visibly lose it from the side, and I know that's not Steve's way, but that's what was needed in that 2nd half. We missed a dog in midfield, especially when Fulton went off. Also, wtf was he doing taking Borja off and leaving Byers on?? . . . . . . Not great. Not great at all. [Post edited 28 Sep 2019 20:49]

At 75 minutes and being outplayed either change to keep the 1 - 0 or change the system, don't replace a wide player for another wide plaeyr and your hardest working forward for another forward! |  |

We haven’t got anyone to play in midfield though. I’ve got to be honest I’m not a massive fan of Byers but he has time on his side to improve, we need to stick with Grimes and Fulton with Celina in front imo. Still not very strong. | | | |

...and you've answered the question I asked myself in another thread. Wilmot would be a good player to experiment with in the midfield. It can't hurt. Even if it's just as a sub for 25 minutes. |  |

Rarely get a chance to go down these days. Really enjoyed the game, was very surprised how good we looked on the whole, however thought Fulton was crap to be honest, looked unfit, little presence and for me was a major reason for their resurgence in the 2nd half. |  |

Yeah, it didn’t work and there’s an element of square pegs in round holes. But we haven’t got any wingers with pace anyway. Garrick isn’t ready, Routs and Dyer last beat a man in the last millennium, and the others have shown they’re not as good as those.
We miss Dan, but he’s a rare breed.

He's got some good attributes to his game but even when he's at his best I'm not sure that Byers is anything more than a bench player at the moment for a team with designs on promotion. He's 23 too so there's not an awful lot of time for improvement.
Certainly we need to rejig the midfield and if Wilmot has experience in DM which will push Grimes further forward then that has to be worth a try because sticking with the status quo isn't really an option. |  |

This is it, what was happening yesterday wasn't working m most of the stadium could see that, Cooper couldn't especially that we were being overrun in the middle. When he made changes in there he tried like for like, which was pointless. No better opportunity to stick Wilmott in there yesterday just to try and see that game out. | |
