Even you have to realise that the result of the 3rd place playoff means exponentially less than the result of the final.
Had NZ and Wales been in the final, they would almost certainly still have won, but it would have been nothing like the game yesterday. For a start we wouldn't have made so many changes and would have played an entirely different game tactically.
