Tart from The Gower on 19:54 - Nov 3 with 990 views | ladyjack | The Gower constituency should be called something else because most of the electorate do not live on Gower, they could still have Gower in the title but referring to the Constituency as just Gower is nonsense.

He’s right. I live in Penllergaer, which is part of the Gower constituency. Silly mun.

I can’t imagine this particular truth hurting anyone very much. It’s a misleading name for the constituency seeing as the majority of it is miles from Gower.

I think Llangyfelach also counts but I may be wrong. I did read up on Swansea history a while back and I think it's all to do with land that was owned by some rich type of centuries ago.......why the "corporation" haven't redrawn the areas I'll never know.

Yup, Llangyfelach is also part of the Gower constituency. And Clydach. And Loughor, despite it almost being in Llanelli.

Tart from The Gower on 20:13 - Nov 3 with 913 views | londonlisa2001 | Amazing. Two threads about a female candidate who said something appalling for which she’ll rightly get castigated and both call her a ‘tart’. And people wonder why women are leaving politics in their droves. How about treating her with exactly the same disdain as you would a male candidate rather than refer to her as a ‘tart’.

He really doesn’t. Because if they asked me where in the Gower I’d have to say “Penllergaer” and then I’d look stupid because it’s not in the Gower.

Tart from The Gower on 20:44 - Nov 3 with 770 views | Joe_bradshaw | It looks as though this could harm the chances of the Tories winning the constituency now known as Penllergaer, Llangyfelach, Clydach, Loughor, outskirts of Llanelli and Gower on December 12th.
