Cleverly? 08:00 - Nov 6 with 2843 viewsGreatBritton

James Cleverley, Tory Part Chairman, was just asked on BBC Breakfast how the public could trust him and his party. He said "We want a working majority so that we can be out of Europe by 31st October."

Is it safe to trust a man who doesn't know we're well into November? His comment came in the context of an attack on Kier Starmer for being confused about things!

Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. We ARE leaving on the 31st October!

Kay Burley taking him apart live on Sky News. She kept showing his empty seat opposite her, and saying he was standing 15 feet away from her, hiding away from the cameras.

He was refusing to answer her questions on Rees - Mogg and the Grenfell residents, Alun Cairns and the rape trial, Boris's comments on Corbyn and Stalin, etc.

What a cowardly pr1ck.

Another smug gobshite promoted way above his ability.

Starmer is probably more coherent in his sleep than Cleverley is awake.

Kay Burley isn’t known for her lefty sympathies and that’s being kind. But she just ruined James Cleverly who was standing a few feet away but refusing to come on air. Ouch.

Do these people not get briefed?

Surely he knew the kind of questions he was going to face and was given lines to parrot? If our government can't even wheel someone out on camera to stick to the party line and bring every question back around to promoting his party, then we're really f*cked.

That was probably after he'd just had his balls squeezed in a vice by Louise Minchin on the BBC. See my post in the PikeyPaul thread.

No doubt their poodle press will trumpet 'James performs Cleverly' or some such shit. It really is beyond the depths that can even be described. How in the name of all that's holy can the tory turds have managed to make Corbyn look like a competent, statesmanlike, and rational. That's their only achievement.

Anyone checked on Bluey?

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

That's the best bit of TV I've seen in ages.

He'll be fine mun. Knows how to tow the party line and put spin on things better than half the MP's.

If the Tories caused a nuclear apocalypse, an irradiated Bluey would emerge from the ruins to tell the mutant cockroaches how it would have been worse if Corbyn was PM and how Brexit could still be a success under a Tory government.

Worth noting there were 20 minutes between his Sky non-interview and his soft soaking on Talkradio.
