.... Whilst looking aghast at the West End Musical advertisements and getting bored rigid by the mandatory Eastenders/ Strictly fillers.. This year I believe they've somehow managed to combine the two.

As I've mentioned in the past, the whole evening and concept irritates the feck out of me. I've supported it in the past. Collected Uni Rag money in Newport. Taken calls at the top of BT Tower when I worked for them in London.

No doubt, I'll watch bits of the coverage tonight, either side of The Last Leg, fuming at the fact the noble, worthwhile, and sometimes vital causes are not centrally funded by Government!!!

I know exactly where you’re coming from Bryn. The problem is the charities are plugging big holes that the state should be financing through taxes. One positive point though is that kids get involved and it’s good to get them thinking about others. As for any BBC presenters getting paid, that’s a sick joke.

I just read bits on that Wikipedia link, what a top top bloke. Recommended to move to Monaco for tax reasons, but wanted to bring his kids up here, and what a quote “someone who dies a rich man, is a disgraced man” or something like that going from memory. If there were more like him, what a better place.....

Won't be long and we'll have the threads on nativity being banned, red cross not displaying anything to do with Christmas, winterveille, fear of upsetting Muslims, etc etc. It'll be the same people outraged as well

I watch these heartbreaking stories of what some children have to endure day after day and realise how lucky I am. These kids and those that support them are absolutely bloody amazing in my eyes.

Then some farking singer/band with an album to sell comes on with the main intention of plugging their album and therefore gaining financially off the backs of these children's plights.
With the exception of just a few over the years, do you ever see anyone appear that hasn't got a new album to promote ? Do you think it's just coincidence that the album release coincides with this show ?
It farking stinks that people could even contemplate it, never mind actually doing so, and if that makes me a tw@t, or even a teat, I'll gladly wear the badge with honour.

Poll: England, General Election: How are you going to vote ?
