Yes. Not a candidate but a canvasser.
I asked the Labour person the question of investment yesterday. She argued the point about the Sennedd being starved of funds by those horrible Westminster Tories (they ARE horrible by the way).
She accepted that Swansea had become a dump over the last decade or so. Her daughter had gone to Uni in London and ended up living there for the last ten years. Then, when she visited Swansea recently she said how dreadful it was in comparison.
My answer to that was that Welsh Labour may very well have been starved of funding over the last 9 years but they still managed to invest an enormous amount into their beloved Cardiff while the rest of Wales has stagnated without investment. After about five minutes she realised that the rest of her little canvassing group had disappeared so she had to go.
She did listen to be fair. But whether anything changes is down to all Welsh people eligible to vote questioning them and not just accepting their lot in the world. At the bottom of the economic pile. |  | | |
