It's either Morris or the Lewis's, and i'm sorry, i just can't see a police officer (or officers) carrying out such a sickening crime. Morris had form for being extremely violent, and whilst there being no DNA evidence, the circumstancial evidence is overwhelming and points to one person. David Morris. | | | |

I'm trying to remember - who was that bloke who was arrested and tried for the murder of a woman on Wimbledon Common. After the trial collapsed the police publicly said that they wouldn't be re-opening the case, basically implying that he'd got away with it. Sixteen (!) years later the real murderer was found.
Gawd, it must be 30 years ago.

I don't know anything about this case and don't have an opinion, to be honest, but why wasn't this 'overwhelming' evidence presented in court? I hope that he is guilty because there have been too many people jailed for things they didn't do.
