The Irishman 23:50 - Nov 30 with 2801 viewsexiledclaseboy

A huge slog at well over three hours but what a brilliant film. De Niro, Pesci, Pacino and a superb turn from Stephen Graham

I watched it last week, enjoyed it.

Also watched the mini series Little Boy Blue, Stephen Graham was in that also, he was brilliant.

Just a pity not many people could see it in a cinema

Maybe Netflix will allow it sometime

Love mafia type films but this was shyte. Almost died laughing when De Niro gave that grocer a 'kicking'. Knew I should've turned it straight off after that.

4/10

Pretend Irish men not from Ireland, nor related to anyone from there.

OK I've changed it.

I thought this was a superb film, the 'Deer Hunter' of gangster flicks.
I think it will be the kind of film that I will get more out of as the years go by.
What impressed me was the skill of Scorcese, tying all the threads and themes together, very subtle...just inviting you to think about an off-shoot of the story, then moving on...it is a film which tells the story of America's 20th century, it encompasses it all.
The performances were fantastic as well all 3 of De Niro, Pacino and Pesci were individually brilliant...but I really enjoyed Pesci's in particular.

10/10.
