There’s a Crisis in the Country. 23:36 - Dec 2 with 950 viewslifelong

Watching the news this evening there’s an apparent crisis in some parts of the Country because people haven’t had their central heating for two days.
How the feck did people used to manage years ago.

Being in a house with no heating, especially if you have kids, are elderly or disabled is no joke, Anything much below 18c can be a hazard to health. I'm guessing this is not something you have ever had to experience.

I suppose the other variant was every house had a coal fire so unless there was a coal shortage the house would have a core of heat from each fireplace. When your gas or electric supply is knocked out your f*cked. I lost my gas boiler for a week two winters ago, around this time exactly. Even with the downstairs gas fire going more or less all day and a convection heater in my bedroom it was horrible. At the time we’d hit a sharp cold snap which made it seem worse. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone , I feel so sorry for people going through the same.

I don’t think he meant Victorian times. Most people didn’t have CH in the 70s and 80s. People today don’t know they’re born. Moaning twáts.

Fetch the coal in from the coal house and light a fire.

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
