I fear the only way we will see a Labour or Liberal govt now is if one courts Rupert Murdoch. It's not the kind of govt that will fix our problems either, they will start at the top and finish at the top sod the rest.

Just seen this and it’s nuts. The girl in the white top is in complete denial, if Labour are ever going to come back in to power then they are going to need to completely rethink about a raft of their current policies and move back to the middle ground. If they don’t then they are going to be in the wilderness for ears to come.
Immigration was a huge driver for people voting Brexit. The main issues at this election were quite simply Brexit, Immigration and Corbyn being deeply unpopular with a huge chunk of voters. | | | |

I was talking to an A and E consultant today, she was very concerned for the future of the NHS and general healthcare afforded to the masses.
We read about people laying on trolleys, having to wait for days to see a GP, huge waiting lists etc, but unless you actually see it for yourself or are impacted by it you don’t give it much thought. I hope Boris puts some money in the NHS. | | | |

Ms sturgeon's party the SNP got 45% of the Scottish vote. The unionist parties, labour conservative and liberals got 55% of the vote. Clearly not a majority of Scottish voters in favour of independence. |
Didn't more people vote for parties committed to revoking Brexit or having a second referendum than for parties in favour of Brexit? If so, you're saying that the majority of the country favours Remain, right? Good to see you campaigning for a second referendum, I agree. |  |

It had nothing to do with the costed manifesto , this labour defeat. It was all about two cataclysmic errors :-
1. Taking no deal off the table.
2. (And the real coup de grace) Insisting on a second referendum.
That’s what lost them their traditional seats like Redcar, unless you’re seriously trying to tell me the residents of Bolsover etc would rather vote to put a lying b*stard who hides in a fridge and can’t answer any straight questions in power rather than their trusted and much loved Dennis Skinner?
