General Election vote by education level on 18:14 - Dec 19 with 1993 views | PozuelosSideys | Meaningless without an additional age metric combining it with education type. Nice manipulation of statistics though, especially given the significant increase in people attending university in the last 10 years through the Blair Labour initiatives.

Excellent post, and very apt. It's particularly true of Americans, as they generally don't like complexity.
General Election vote by education level on 19:24 - Dec 19 with 1839 views | felixstowe_jack | Still significantly more people in the medium education band above O level but below degree level voted conservative. What you tables omit is that vastly more under 30s voted labour and least half of those now have degress in subjects ranging from media studies, hairdressing sports science and all the other newly created degrees . Worth noting that after the age of 30 more people vote conservatives which also increases by age. Anyone under 27 will still have been school during the last labour government except those who left school at 16. It seems the more experience people have of actually working under the government the less likely they are to vote labour. Which is more valuable life experience or a degree?

That’s a rather sweeping statement to make about 330 million people.

So what’s the solution? We disenfranchise those based on their IQ or their interest in politics and move towards a more epistocratic system? Most would argue that’s quite an extremist stance and that universal suffrage is generally a good thing which was bought with a lot of blood.

Mensa scores over 140. Most of my well better educated friends are up to their eyeballs in debt, suffer from addiction problems, live in rented accommodation. They can explain quantum physics in great detail, but can't budget their monthly wage.

General Election vote by education level on 19:55 - Dec 19 with 1761 views | LeonWasGod | It’s incredibly really. The Tories have completely smashed the mould and convinced the people, who have always been just a resource for them to exploit, to actually vote for them en masse. Quite incredible. In unrelated news, they’ve cut the section on retaining workers rights in the new version of the Withdrawal Bill published today.

Hard to feel any differently, but they didn't all vote for the shitheads that are going to shaft them. Anyway, inevitable now. Anyone on any benefits or earning less than 30k a year had better lock and load, and anyone above that had better get ready to buy private everything and be stiffed on VAT, motoring and anything else the fat lying c*nt avoided talking about. I know people like us personally will almost certainly end up better off or at the least with a bigger share of a shrinking cake, but it still appals me.
