The real question is how Birch will choose to balance the books and manage the balance sheet in agreement with Kaplan and Levien. Forget ‘the 28’. They simply don’t exist in executive management terms. |  |

Doubt it, that’s not how an investment fund generally works. If the terms allow it they can withdraw their money (at current value), but we’d need to know the intricacies of the fund. These will be passive investors I would think. Irrelevant to us now. Kaplan and Levien are the shareholders. It’s their shout, but I think they’ve already shouted, and the nuts and bolts are for Birch to act within their defined strategy. | |

If they were to do it without reciprocal contribution from other shareholders they could load it onto the club as debt, or use it as a means to dilute the shares held by others. It's just not as simple as asking the Americans to spend some money.
