Using a personal GMail account to hold sensitive applicant data. Google can scan those CVs and mine the data

The Guardian story says this..... Applicants are instructed to send a one-page email outlining their ideas to an unofficial account - ideasfornumber10@gmail.com - with the subject line “Job”. No mention of CV's or sensitive data. It's a con, isn't it? They're not actually interested in the people they just want to see if any good ideas pop up. Maybe we should do a planetswans competition. Those interested put forward their "one page of ideas" and we vote on it, the winner gets sent on to Cummings.

The blog states that people are to attach a CV with their letter. The blog by the way I’m sure makes Cummings think he sounds like an edgy intellectual - a man of great ideas - a man to change the world. It actually makes him sound like one of those weird saddos who have read all the ‘management outliers’ and ‘how to be a billionaire in ten easy steps’ books you see in WH Smith airport shops. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
