Should have a time limit of 30 seconds on a review, if they cant decide its a mistake within 30 seconds it means it isnt clear and obvious, so it should stay with the on-field decision. Constantly reviewing decisions over a millimetre isn't football

When they get the ruler out to decide if its offside it becomes a farce!

To be that precise they have to be 100% accurate to when the ball was struck before the incident! Impossible.

Anyways it was onside and they still managed to fÃ¹ck it up.

I agree it should be. The way they are looking at offsides is ridiculous.

Yep, looked on side to me on the VAR.

The Leicester one was way offside and the VAR guy was trying to line it up with the defenders elbow.
At least he eventually got it right.

Indeed, linesmen make mistakes, and when it's a clear and obvious mistake then more power to var's elbow to step in.

The problem is that var is being used when literally millimetres are involved.

Are they being that precise to when the ball is being struk before the offside ( again we are talking a fraction of a second that could make all the difference when millimetres are being ruled on).

Again, for me the rule needs changing to "clear and obvious"

Why don’t they give the ball kicker the same scrutiny?

Message should go into refs earpiece ONLY if there’s a blatant offside or penalty/dive. Otherwise ref should be in control. Cue a smart arse to define blatant.

Just get rid of the drawing lines and seeing if the armpit is offside nonsense. We dont need that much accuracy and it takes too long. If he looks level then it's fine.
I dont think it's the VAR idea that's bad, it's the way it's being used.
The hand ball situation is ridiculous too, when the ball is ricocheting onto a hand, when running or amongst bodies in the box etc it shouldn't be hand ball.

There are issues with VAR and it isn’t perfect, but hopefully it will mean less decisions going against the little guys and an even play field. For too long the big teams had the rib of the green as the smaller teams found to their cost.

Which comes back to the same thing it is not the faulty of VAR it is the people who create the laws of the game that they are asked to follow

both examples of decisions that I think were wrong but for those in Stockley Park they made the decision that was asked of them

The handball law is a farce and the offside one should allow for clear daylight between attacker and defender and if it isn't there then the on field decision should stand (in a similar way to which you have umpire's call in cricket)

On the flip side you had the decision to send off Abumayeng and a couple of other decisions that were correct over the weekend
