Pants and vest is what we used to call them, got on the wrong side of them more than once mind tasty bunch no matter what anyone says. They dropped me out of an upstairs bedroom window in Sandfields one night, luckily for me there was one of those little concrete porch things below which i landed on.

I like your honesty. Around about 1979/80 a few of us from the Rhondda were going on a CCFC coach from PT to Notts County. Terry Lowndes invited us to stay with him for the night before we went, f##k me we had a torrid time at the end of the night after going to a few Pubs. It wasn't football related, but local Biker types, glad to get out of the place alive, great times!

See him now and then at Cardiff games, he was friendlier with older mates of mine tbh, I just tagged along. I was the youngest one that night down PT, it was quite an eye-opener. I seem to remember one of our lot getting dangled over a bridge, however I was very very drunk!!!

They left with their tails between their legs from the model T in Bridgend one eventful Sunday night in the late 80s. Any update from tonight’s meeting?

Nothing there that contradicts the way that the club is going about its business or what I've heard elsewhere. Birch wants to keep the academy unless the club can't afford it. He's all about the numbers and £2.5m a year is a lot of money to find if you want to be able to invest in the first team too.

Always thought there is a lot of young talent in South Wales that usually goes to England. Even at 2.5 million a year to run isn’t it worth keeping, if it produces 1 decent player in 4 years you can sell for say 10 million ( not beyond the realms of possibility in today’s inflated market surely) it’s paid for itself. I really hope Tan looks this way for the future instead of buying shiiite like madine for ie.
| Swans fans forum on 07:13 - Jan 24 with 4063 views | pencoedjack | Why do we have a training ground & separate location for an academy? (People making money I presume) Moving forward is it not possible just to have 1 location for both? Seems a little simplistic | | | |

Lot of money in construction contracts. Jaxx Landing made a few bob. Your second point may be the long term plan. Make a bit of cash by selling the RTB and save in the long term on running costs, then move everything to Fairwood, which is arguably what should have been done in the first place.

Was Eldridge the one who used to follow West Ham? If so, I didn't like him, we went to watch The Oppressed supporting The Business in Bridgend once, there was a coach load of ICF there with the headliners. He spent the night pointing out myself and a few other CCFC Punks to them, just about got out of there alive.

I think one of his brothers died in a car crash years ago, but don't know if it's the same one. [Post edited 24 Jan 2020 7:31]
