I doubt it. The news is out there now, at Schofield and his family’s behest. In a few days it will be a non story. If he’d denied it or refused to confirm it there’d have been endless innuendo and suggestive articles, plus badgering of him and his family. I don’t doubt that he made it public when he did because something was about to break but he lanced that boil himself. Unless there’s some criminal activity involved, which is unlikely as that would have hit by now as well, this is more or less done as a story apart from the few twitter bigots highlighted in this thread.

I think that will depend on what, if any, stories will break in the near future. I didn’t full digest his interview but I understand that he said there were no underlying reasons why he came out so publicly, if that is the case why bother at all. He has now left the door open for all sorts of accusations to be thrown at him.
