Member of my family's operation to remove cancer, arranged to take place this week has been cancelled.
Was that after discussion between doctor and your family member flash, or imposed?
My understanding is that some operations are being postponed as the risk to patient is worse than delaying for a while, but if that’s been imposed, it is absolutely shocking.
All best wishes to them. The impact of this is almost unbelievable.

All arranged for early April, surgeon phoned last week to say he's not doing any operations till further notice, so imposed I'm afraid.

Terrible news Flash.
A couple I know were recently on holidays when they received devastating news that their daughter had died. That same week after returning home, the wife was informed she has breast cancer and needed an operation and follow up treatment.
Last week she was informed that the operation due this week was cancelled.

Life is so fvcking cruel.
It is mate, and I'm so annoyed at the idiots ignoring the isolation rules, IMO their actions will prolong this pandemic and delay life saving operations even further.
It’s a difficult one. Some hospitals don’t want to bring patients in because the risk posed by corona is potentially greater than the illness they have. Guy I now has had a big heart op and needs to go back in, but he’s been told if he goes in and is exposed to it it’s almost certainly curtains. Heartbreaking.
This. The last thing anyone seriously ill needs is a dose of COVID on top that would kill them in a couple of days.
Which is why The COVID patients should be in one hospital and all the other patients in another.
Thousands have recovered hobo. Those figures are for people who have been hospitalised, mainly the elderly and those with underlying health problems. Well done to the 135!

That is not good news, I'm sure I read something about a domestic cat in Belgium having it a few weeks ago, what with animals and adults in their prime apparently starting to having it, things ain't looking good.

We are going to have to keep our distance from tigers from now on Tramp.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
