So my missus works for a charity where kids come to visit and stay and learn about the countryside they now have zero bookings until September. They have all been asked to cut down their hours understandably which they all have. My missus has gone down to 4 days and then will go down to 3...etc some have been asked to just come in 1 day a week so everyone is really going for it. Personally I think they are fecked but they are giving it a go.
My missus who is the office manager and has had to adjust all this has found out that
the 2 highest paid people the director and her side kick will stay on full pay!

Isn't that the typical behaviour if those at the top in many businesses. It's always the workers who have to suffer. In the current situation it seems ctiminal to me, throwing people to the wolves so to speak.
I've said before that our circumstances should give us more protection than many others and we are lucky but us and our neighbours are all saying if we have what we need we'll share the rest if others are short. That's not being a hero in any way, it's just what we should do. |  |

I have just posted (somewhere) that where I think Labour would have done better than Bojo is they wouldn't have worried about money and thrown funds at this from the beginning. The rest of the decisions I dont know if they would have done any better with because they would broadly be speaking to the same UK experts.
It's something we'll never know. Now ewe can only play the hand we have and hope it works out ok. People will die, lives will be ruined, many of us will lose someone and all we can do is follow the advice and hope for the best.
Then afterwards we can mob up, go find the mamangement who made these decisions and lynch them

The greed of those running "Charities" has nothing to do with Capitalism or any other political ideals.
It is all to do with greed and that as far as they are concerned charity begins in someone else's home.
Just look up how many of the worlds major so called charities are on over £100,000 a year.
When quite often those at the bottom who actually believe in charity do so for no reward at all.
Very little of the money contributed to charities actually gets to those it was given for by unselfish public.

And some people are kind caring and thoughtful, and both sets come from either side of the political spectrum. Of course many inbetween.
When we were poor (but never in love laughter or intelligence) it was one thing being done over by the knobs but worst of all our own trying to profiteer off our own backs.
It is shocking and shaming what has happened in that charity and all the self obsessed hoarding. But given even reports on here, is it surprising that confirmation of the reason for people’s self isolation are sought by businesses that are going to seriously struggle whilst other workers fight on. It could of course be done electronically but that is just an exercise in futility so where do we go from there?
We should all question, but this is most definitely not a time for cheap political points on the back of others deaths.
At the end of the day this is not a dick waving competition and those that really care will do everything they can . Let us remember a whole generation is being culled in Italy and another generation is putting their lives on the line to try and stop it.
We can fight amongst ourselves or fight that impudent virus that sits in the upper respiratory tract of many that don’t even know it, and is passed on in its millions with a single cough to suspend in the air around us and infect what we touch and purchase.
