Grand Budapest Hotel is a masterpiece.

I watched this last night on your recommendation after trying to watch it a few times but giving up within half an hour each time.

Wow is all I can say, what a magnificent film! I've always liked Wes Anderson but this has moved into the top spot of his stuff, for me.

Thoroughly enjoyed the film 'The Wife' on Netflix, not one for those of you who like action movies, but a good story with great acting.

Barry Lyndon.

It’s a oddly underrated masterpiece; just about perfect.

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

I can be a bit hit and miss on Wes Anderson films but there's nothing about it that I don't like, and it's Fiennes' best performance since Schindler's List.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Can't go far wrong with The Shawshank Redemption, I absolutely love this film!! On newer releases, I enjoyed Dark Waters, quite interesting.

I've seen it a few times before, but watched 'What about Bob' tonight (Bill Murray), and the tears were still rolling down my face as if it was the first time i'd seen it.

Hostiles is a great film. Best western I'd seen for some time.

Watched Hostiles last night, really enjoyed it, great final 20 minutes. Paul Anderson, Arthur in Peaky Blinders, is one of the soldiers in the film.

Wes Studi is in it too. Great actor.

"The Fighter."

A great film if you like boxing. The life story of "Irish" Micky Ward ... starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg.

"The Bleeder"

Another film for boxing fans. The life of heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner, who had a once-in-a-lifetime bout with Muhammad Ali that would inspire Sylvester Stallone to write "Rocky."

Agreed very good film, should have called him American Micky Ward though ...
What with him being American 🤷🏻

OK I've changed it.

I'm glad you put this up, because I agree it's a film that should get far more acclaim. A brilliant period piece...

I don't do films as a rule but if they made one about Dr Jack Matthews I would watch, there again the Yanks would not put the money up to see Rocky effectively lose and lots of films are Yankee things aren't they.

I watched the documentary on Bobby Robson last night. Interesting.

Only watched the first five minutes.
Talked about his melanoma cancer and that he was told most don't survive more than three years.
That was too close to home for me - switched it off at that point as it upset me

Watched The gentlemen last night and as it's a Guy Ritchie film I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it.oddly it seemed almost not a typical Guy Ritchie film, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant are outstanding in it

Just my view of course............
