Result - BEST EVER SWANS FORWARDS 18:23 - May 1 with 1706 viewsswancity

Probably the most interesting one this as usually your strikers are your star players and it’s no different at Swansea

Our results confirm

1. Michu 108pts
2 Bob Latchford 77pts
3 = Lee Trundle 41pts
3 = Wilfried Bony 41pts
5 Ivor Allchurch
6 Jason Scotland 10pts

With votes received for

Danny Graham
John Toshack
Keith Todd
Llorente
Sigurdsson
Dai Gwyther
Trevor Ford
Alan Curtis

Our PlanetSeans team is

Fabianski
Rangel
Hadziabdic
A Williams
Rajkovic
Britton
Curtis
R James
Latchford
Michu
L James

And what a team that is

Thanks to everyone for voting. Just fun but an interesting insight.

Seems strange to have a best ever Swans team without I Allchurch Cliff Jones and Trundle among others but they didn’t play in the top division for the Swans. Jones and Allchurch especially went on to great things in the top Division after leaving the Swans with Jones winning the League and FA Cup double at Spurs👍

Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

The formation did for it, by today's standards Ivor would have been classed as midfield, he would have dictated the play, a David Silva or Eden Hazard type player, not an up front forward.

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

By what I've heard of Ivor he would have exactly that rayns.

Shame most of the posters never saw him play as if they had Ivor would have been a shoe in the starting 11.

*shoo-in*

But, yes he would have been. Abso-fûcking-lutely.
First name on the team sheet, followed by Cliff Jones.

Good shout

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I stand corrected on the 'shoo in'

Would have absolutely loved to have seen those two play plus mel charles et al.

I was very lucky to watch Ivor play for us before he went to Newcastle and when he returned.

I was also unlucky to watch Ivor score a hat trick against us for C**diff in a 5-0 hammering at Ninian Park!!

He wasn't dubbed the "Golden Boy of Welsh football" for fvck all.

A wonderful footballer and a totally unassuming gentleman.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Only saw Ivor at the end of his career. Majestic. Sublime.

I remember playing against his son at Bishopston with Ivor watching on the touchline.
FÛCK - it’s IVOR! Felt like we were being judged from above.

I can only echo what LR says. there's no doubt about he was class, I think we all know when a player is something special, well, he was, even in his latter years he was a class above those he was playing with an against!

in his final season he was top scorer when players of today would be flinging themselves on the floor dialing 999 at the slightest nudge of tackles at that time, and a gentleman to boot, wasnt it a case he was never booked?

Ivor and Siggy to bring on if its not going well

Edit

Having seen some of the best ever Cardiff XI's selected on twitter last week, I don't think they'll be needed.

Ramsey is a far better player than Gylfi ever was or ever will be.

Not the teenage Aaron Ramsey that actually played for them. 16 games in the championship was the sum total of his achievements there.

Maybe we should have stuck John Charles in ours.

Yet League 1 Lee Trundle is currently third in the voting.

Well he was immense for us in league 1 and did also play for us in the championship so while it wouldn't be my choice personally I can understand it.
